StudyDeck is a free, browser-based educational platform that provides interactive quizzes, flashcards, spaced repetition, and course materials for academic study. The Service operates entirely within your web browser and stores data locally on your device.

3. User Responsibilities

When using the Service, you agree to:

  • Use the Service only for lawful, educational purposes
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Not use automated tools to scrape or extract content from the Service
  • Not distribute the content as your own original work
  • Not use the Service to engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the Service or its infrastructure

4. Intellectual Property

The StudyDeck platform, including its source code, design, and educational content, is open source. The quiz questions, flashcards, and course materials are created for educational purposes. Some content may be derived from publicly available academic resources and course materials.

5. Data and Privacy

StudyDeck stores all user data locally in your browser using localStorage. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. For more details, please review our Privacy Policy.

6. No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • The content is accurate, complete, or current
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements
  • Any defects in the Service will be corrected

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StudyDeck and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, academic outcomes, or reliance on the accuracy of the content provided.

8. Content Accuracy

While we strive to ensure the accuracy of all educational content, the quizzes and study materials are provided for supplementary study purposes. They should not be used as a sole source of information. We recommend verifying important concepts with official course materials and instructors.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Service after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Termination

Since the Service does not require an account, there is no formal termination process. You may stop using the Service at any time. You can clear all locally stored data by clearing your browser storage or using the "Reset All Progress" option on the Progress page.

11. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service maintainers reside, without regard to conflict of law principles.
