Frequently Asked Questions

Is StudyDeck really free?

Yes, 100%. All features are available at no cost, with no usage limits and no hidden paywalls. We believe quality study tools should be accessible to every student.

Do I need to create an account?

No. StudyDeck works entirely in your browser. Your progress is saved locally on your device using localStorage. No sign-up, no email, no passwords.

What happens to my data?

Your data stays on your device. We do not send any personal data to external servers. You can export your progress as a JSON file at any time from the Progress page.

Will there be a paid version in the future?

We have no plans to put existing features behind a paywall. If we add premium features in the future, the core study experience will always remain free.

Can I use StudyDeck on my phone?

Yes. StudyDeck is fully responsive and works on any device with a modern browser. You can add it to your home screen for a native app-like experience.

How does Co-Quiz work without accounts?

Co-Quiz uses peer-to-peer connections through WebRTC. One person creates a room and shares the code. Others join with that code. All communication happens directly between devices with no data passing through our servers.

Can I import my own study material?

Currently, StudyDeck comes with curated content for supported subjects. You can export and import your progress data, and we are exploring ways to let users add custom content in the future.

Is my study data backed up?

Since all data is stored in your browser, it is not automatically backed up. We recommend using the Export feature on the Progress page to save a backup. You can import it on any device or browser.
